Annagh United 3 – Holmes, McCordick, Eagle
Moyola Park 1 – Taggart
Moyola Park travelled to Tandragee Road on Saturday to play Annagh United in the Bluefin Sport Premier Intermediate League. With players unavailable, Moyola Park manager Mervyn Pattison named himself on the bench.
Jackson Holmes opened the scoring for the home side on 28 minutes following a Craig Taylor cross, as Holmes fired a composed finish into the bottom corner.
Annagh United doubled their lead just three minutes after the restart through the division’s joint top scorer Scott McCordick. Great play in midfield from Gault and Henderson allowed another dangerous Taylor cross and McCordick was on hand to finish his fourth league goal of the campaign.
The visitors came back into the game and Conor Taggart pulled a goal back for Moyola Park on 64 minutes. They also went close soon after with an effort that hit the crossbar, in what could have been an equaliser for the Castledawson side.
Substitute Ben Eagle secured the three points with Annagh’s third of the afternoon on 83 minutes, as he back heeled John Uprichard’s cross past Farniok.
