An Under 13 Mini World Cup Tournament is scheduled to take place on Saturday 10th may, 2008 at Moyola Park F.C Football Grounds, Castledawson

All U13 Youth Football clubs currently participating in the Coleraine and District League have been invited to nominate one, or more, 7 aside U13 teams to represent their club, as well as Ballymena United Youth Academy and Cookstown Youth, amongst others.

This will be an excellent, and somewhat rare, opportunity for local youth football clubs to meet together, at one competition venue, on the same day.
During the event we are also planning to raise awareness of Anti-Racism, Anti-Sectarianism and Anti-Bullying in Youth Football and have organized some subtle, but hopefully effective, ways of promoting players and their families to be mindful of the need for this, at all times, during youth football activities and indeed in everyday life.

Individual teams will draw a nation country, upon registration, on the morning of the event. Each nation team registered will be placed into prearranged groups where they will be timetabled to play each of their group opponents, individually, in matches lasting twenty minutes. Top scoring teams will then have play off games to award final trophies and achievements. A range of well known famous football personalities and legends will be presenting the tournament trophies and also be on hand to offer their expert tips and advice to these budding stars.

All team coaches and players will be reporting to registration at the venue for 10 am sharp. Opening matches will be timetabled to begin at10:30 am sharp. There will be a series of 3 / 4matches taking place at the same time throughout the day. Time for lunch and refreshments will be built into the schedule of activities.  BBQ and refreshments will be available onsite. Stewards will be on hand, at the venue entrance, to assist with parking etc.
If you would like to nominate a 7 aside team or require further information please contact Kyle Bradley on 07912 629743 or Robin Martin on 07825068516. Nominations must be received on or before Monday 17th March, 2008.

This event will showcase a variety of local youth football talent and skill in this age group and promises to be a fun action packed day of sport not to be missed!!!
