Moyola Park U9’s (2008’s) (Sponsored by Henry Brothers Magherafelt Ltd) travelled to Ballymena Showgrounds on Friday evening to participate in their small sides games centre. With 4 games in total the boys got plenty of action winning 3 games and loosing. Team: Cole, Curtis, Riley, Ashton, Alex, Odhran.
NW&CDYL Small Sided Games Centre – University of Ulster Coleraine
Moyola Park U9’s (2008’s) (Sponsored by Henry Brothers Magherafelt Ltd) travelled to play Portrush Youths in the NWCDYL where they would run out convincing winners and the goals were scored by Cody (2), Ashton (2), Rheuben and Curtis. Very good team performance by all the players who worked tirelessly throughout the game. Team: Curtis, Rheuben, Ashton, Ben, Cody, Deon.
IFA Small Sided Games Centre – Mid Ulster Sports Arena
Moyola Park U10’s Olympic (2007’s) (Sponsored by Henry Brothers Magherafelt Ltd) travelled to the Mid Ulster Sports Arena on Friday night to take part in the IFA/McDonald’s Small Sided Games Centre. The first 2 games ended with a loss and with some encouraging words between the boys themselves and a sense of wanting to do better they played with a renewed vigour. The 3rd game was a well deserved draw and the last game seen the players enjoy a bit more success with a 2-0 win. Goals scored by Adam and Anthony. Well done boys. Let’s keep up the development.
IFA Small Sided Games Centre – Mid Ulster Sports Arena
Moyola Park U10’s (2007’s) (Sponsored by Henry Brothers Magherafelt Ltd) travelled to the Mid Ulster Sports Arena on Friday night to take part in the IFA/McDonald’s Small Sided Games Centre. They continued their form from last week winning all of their games. Impressive in front of goal with some great strikes and a clean sheet in every game concluded an all round good team performance. Team and scorers: Waters, McAtamney (2), McKeever, McIvor (2), Grant (2), Mackle (1), McAlister (1), O’Neill (5) and Kearney (6). Difficult to call a man of the match as everyone played excellent but it goes to O’Neill who scored 5 goals on his debut and grabbed himself an assist as well.
NW&CDYL Under 13’s – Mill Meadow
Moyola Park under 13’s (2004) (Sponsored by Henry Brothers Magherafelt Ltd) welcome Ballymoney United Youth Academy under 13’s to the Mill Meadow on Saturday for their third league of the season. The 13’s had beaten Tobermore United in their first game and lost last Saturday to Ballycastle United.
Saturday would see the under 13’s double their points total to 6 from their three games with a win and goals from Rory (4), Chelsea, Joel (2) and Kain. The Moyola Park keeper Charlie also saved a penalty.
NW&CDYL Under 16’s – Mill Meadow
Moyola Park under 13’s (2001) (Sponsored by Henry Brothers Magherafelt Ltd) welcome Wakehurst FC under 16’s to the Mill Meadow on Monday night for a league game.
This game saw a comfortable home win with goals from R Lee (3) and R Lynn (2) with the visitors scoring 2 late goals in reply.
